I’m pretty sure I just nailed down a venue. Brown County Dragway has an open day June 4th. It’s not terribly expensive, and we get the whole day. Brown County Indiana is beautiful and will afford us some gorgeous scenery. With access to the state park, Columbus, Bloomington, and Nashville there is plenty of lodging, dining, and off venue entertainment.
Track is a 1/8th and will have locations for parking and a show n shine. I plan to visit the track in the next couple weeks once Indiana’s weather decides what to do.
The biggest commitment I need is to generate funds to secure the track. We will need $750 as a scheduling fee, and $750 for rental day due respectively. So for $1500 we get open concessions, a staff, and a whole day of fun.
Let me know what you guys think! I could open a “pre-registration” and promise a t-shirt to any who sign up that way. $35 gets you a shirt and a race-n-show pass, $25 gets you a shirt and show-n-shine pass, and $10 will get you a shirt and VIP pass.
